About
I'm a designer with 6 years of experience that spans web and mobile. Most recently I worked at Cadmus Group, where I led design on modernization projects for the USDA, NRCS, and other U.S. government agencies new to UX.
Before I became a designer I wrote front-end code for 5 years, two of which were at eBay. That experience helps me work well with engineers and shapes my just-enough approach to design—I'm mindful that anything we add has to be maintained, considered, and reconsidered within a wider system for months and years.
When I'm not working I'm photographing life with my wife and our baby daughter. And when baby's asleep I write soft rock, play Super Nintendo games, and optimize layers on my mechanical keyboards.
